Our certificates – transparent & trustworthy
Tranquillo is GOTS certified, supports Fairtrade principles, and carefully selects all its partners. Here we explain what our seals mean—and why they give you peace of mind when shopping.

GoodWeave
The GoodWeave® seal of approval recognizes handcrafted rugs produced under fair and safe conditions and actively combats child labor in India and Nepal. Instead, it provides children with access to education while ensuring social and environmental standards such as fair wages and safe working conditions. Each rug carries a code that allows you to trace its origin, and the certification fees fund inspections and educational programs.

GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading standard for the processing of organically produced natural fibers and ensures fair working conditions and environmentally friendly production processes. The majority of our collections, as well as our company itself, are GOTS-certified, guaranteeing a fully sustainable production chain. Our license number is CU844876, and you can find us in the official GOTS database.

GRS
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international and comprehensive product standard that largely applies to textiles. It ensures that social, environmental, and chemical regulations are met during production. The goal of the GRS is to define requirements for the quality and specifications of the substances used. It also ensures good working conditions on site and enforces compliance with environmental and chemical regulations in the manufacturing process.

Fair Trade
Fair Trade certification guarantees fair working conditions, fair wages, and the protection of workers throughout the entire supply chain. It supports the promotion of social projects and sustainable production methods that directly benefit communities. With this certification, we are setting an example of social responsibility and respectful treatment of people and the environment.
The BSCI Initiative
Social responsibility and transparency in the supply chain
The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (amfori BSCI), founded in 2003 as the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), is a program of the business association amfori to improve social standards in a global value chain. Amfori is the leading international business association for free and sustainable trade. It supports retailers, importers, brands, and national associations in promoting socially acceptable production conditions, responsible resource use, and global trade relations.
In times of globalized markets, many companies are relocating their production to other countries. These companies, especially in less developed countries, bear a special social responsibility. With a successful amfori BSCI supplier audit and entry into the amfori BSCI platform, you can ensure and document that your suppliers treat people and the environment responsibly during production.
The following criteria are checked:
- The right to freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
- Appropriate remuneration
- Occupational safety
- Special protection for young workers
- No forced labor
- Ethical business
- No discrimination
- Reasonable working hours
- No child labor
- No precarious employment
- Environmental protection
The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct defines values and principles for responsible business practices in the supply chain and aims to continuously optimize key parameters. It is based on labor standards of the ILO (International Labour Organization). Customers are either amfori BSCI members themselves or participating business partners in a member's supply chain. All partners must sign the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct and, upon successful verification, are listed on the amfori BSCI platform.
