From second hand to fair fashion
In the past, the TRANQUILLO was a small store in the new town of Dresden, where you could find cheerful little things from all over the world, colorful fleece jackets and long velvet robes. You could also search for unusual items that were waiting on the poles for their new owners. In the TRANQUILLO you could always find special clothes as well as all kinds of little things to give to your friends. Whoever came near the store, sniffed it already from a distance. Because in the front area of the store countless incense sticks were lined up, so that one felt a little bit like at an oriental bazaar.
It was beautiful! But it should be different somehow. It should remain colorful and fair too. But maybe one day you could even produce your own clothes fairly from ecologically sound materials? These thoughts drove Christian Amthor and Michael Kremer, who have been running TRANQUILLO together since 2003. The two could hardly be more different, but they are united by their enthusiasm for bringing new ideas forward - and both often look at "things that have always been like this" with a wink. Once Christian and Micha have set their minds to something, the goal is clear - the path, on the other hand, can be made colorful - just like TRANQUILLO.
